Code of Conduct for Library Users (Trial)

The University Library aims to inspire teaching, learning, exploration, and research among its users. Access to the library is a right afforded to all users, which comes with corresponding responsibilities. Users should familiarize themselves with the library’s regulations. This code of conduct applies to everyone. Any violation of these regulations may result in exclusion from the library or termination of all library services. The library reserves the right to maintain such restrictions for a period deemed appropriate.

  1. All library users must comply with the laws of the People's Republic of China, as well as the Library policies and regulations.
  2. Access to the library is permitted solely for the purpose of using library resources or studying. The unauthorized distribution of leaflets and posters is not allowed, and all unauthorized materials will be removed.
  3. Silence must be strictly observed in the library. Users are requested to set their mobile phones and other devices to silent mode.
  4. Users are expected to handle library materials, equipment, and facilities with due care. Moving furniture is not permitted. No library materials or property shall be marked, damaged, or destroyed.
  5. To protect the privacy of all staff and users, audio recording, video recording, photography, and any other form of audio-visual recording are prohibited unless expressly authorized.
  6. The library is a public facility, and users are responsible for their personal belongings. The library is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items.
  7. Personal items may not be used to reserve seats by being left on tables. Books and other personal items left unused for more than 30 minutes will be cleared away. All unattended food and drinks will be immediately discarded.
  8. It is prohibited to bring uncovered drinks and odorous food into the library.
  9. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the library.
  10. Animals are not allowed in the library without permission.
  11. Users should comply with all library rules and notices.
