To meet the diverse needs of teachers and students across the university in scientific research, course practice, and creative design, our library has integrated existing equipment resources and officially launched a 3D printing service reservation channel. To ensure fair and orderly service and improve equipment utilization efficiency, the specific reservation process, usage regulations, and related notices are as follows:
- Service Location: Maker Space, 2nd Floor of the Library;
- Reservation Review Email: library_noreply@cityu-dg.edu.cn;
- Available Machines: Raise3D E3, Raise3D Pro3 Plus, Bambu Lab H2D;
- Eligible Users: All students and faculty.
1. Reservation Rules Access the reservation page via the link above; reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. (Reservations are suspended on Public holidays. A maximum of 2 reservations per week; Each session lasting no more than 5 hours. )
After reserving, please submit the 3D model file for printing to the designated email for review (Only STL format files are supported). The file should include an estimated material usage and printing duration for this print.
The system will review submissions within 2 working days; upon approval, a “Reservation Successful” email will be sent. To cancel or modify a reservation, campus users must do so at least 24 hours in advance through the platform. Failure to make timely changes or show up for the scheduled print will be considered a “no-show.”

Note: The free quota is the calendar year (January 1 - December 31 of the current year). Unused quotas shall not be accumulated or carried over
2. Usage Specifications
- Provided by the Library: Basic consumables (PLA, PETG, TPU). The types and colors can be viewed on Primo.
- User-Provided Consumables: Users must provide their own consumables if the free quota is exceeded. Before use, a sample of the consumables must be submitted to the administrator for compatibility review, and the consumables can only be used after approval.
3. Prohibited Printing Situations
- Items involving illegal or prohibited substances (such as replica weapons, controlled knives, flammable and explosive substances);
- Items infringing on intellectual property rights (such as unauthorized brand logos, copies of patented products);
- Vulgar, violent, or items that violate public order and morals;
- Items with unstable structures or that may cause equipment failure (such as unsupported hanging structures, excessively thick models).
4. Breach of Contract Handling
