The Foreign Textbook Center Project of the Ministry of Education introduces science, engineering, agriculture, and medical textbooks and reference materials annually from around the world. Each title is jointly selected by expert librarians from 12 university libraries, represented by Tsinghua University Library. The chosen materials are high-quality electronic textbooks and references widely adopted in classrooms at foreign universities. All imported titles are made accessible locally through the Itext platform.

The Itext platform now offers a trial of over 13,000 classic English textbooks from renowned publishers such as Wiley, Cambridge University Press, CRC Press, McGraw Hill, De Gruyter, IET, World Scientific, and Elsevier Health. These resources cover a wide range of disciplines, including basic sciences, computer science, engineering technology, economics and management, agriculture, medicine, humanities, and social sciences, and support online full-text reading. Authored and contributed by internationally recognized writers and scholars, these textbooks are assigned as teaching references by many top global universities.
